The Pope is here!

The Israeli military is EVERYWHERE!! The Pope is staying next door to us, so a bunch of his security people are staying here and there are Israeli soldiers all over the grounds. Russell made fliers for the soldiers that say "Thanks for protecting us from the Pope." He's hilarious!
The roads have all been closed and it's quite an inconvenience really but we made friends with the soldiers!
Yesterday we went to a Jewish celebration for the holiday Lag B'Omer- more women watching men dance and party, but it was tons of fun. On our way back, we got stopped by a road block and had to wait for the Pope to drive past while we heard the Muslim call to prayer. We were late to class because of the wretched road block, but it was a cool multi-religious, international experience. And we watched a drunk guy get in a fight with the soldiers trying to get past them. Good day!
